Dr. Taha is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Minia University, Egypt. He is also the founder, director, and lead Psychotherapist at Roots Counselling and Psychotherapy Services Ltd, London, UK.
Dr. Mohamed is the former Vice-President of the Egyptian Association for Group Therapies and Processes (EAGT), a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) from the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA).
Dr. Mohamed graduated from Minia Faculty of Medicine, Egypt, and studied a major part of his PhD in the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, Essex University, UK on the “Creative Aspects of Group Psychotherapy”. He has many international publications in leading journals of group psychotherapy, co-authored some scientific books and book chapters and participated in many international conferences all over the world.
He is interested in raising psychological awareness in the Egyptian and Arab communities, using a simple, yet scientific language. His Arabic books have attracted a very wide population of all ages and encouraged them to read in the fields of psychology, self-help, and interpersonal relationships. His books have been best sellers since their release (2015) till now.
He conducted a talk with TEDx in April 2016. He has been a regular guest on many satellite and radio channels discussing psychological, psychosocial, and inter-personal matters. He participated for two consecutive seasons in a one-hour weekly TV show (Shezlong) on TEN TV. He regularly conducts public lectures, workshops, and interactive meetings in many countries, in addition to an annual public lecture in the bibliotheca Alexandria’s great hall.
