Bassem Abdel Malek is the founder of the World Needs a Father movement in Egypt. He is a Consultant Engineer and has a consulting office in New York, USA and in Egypt. Bassem resides in Egypt and works in designing hotels, universities, hospitalsand fine dining restaurants.

Bassem believes that his prime goal in life is to be a true father for his children and a good loving husband to his wife. He is full of passion towards fatherless children. He found his real passion as soon as he got his first child Natalie (currently 19 years old) and then his second child Seif (currently 17 years old) as he felt the urge to learn more about fatherhood andwhat he should be doing.

He began to study about children psychology and obtained many certificates in coaching and started helping in the Fatherhood movement in 2012 when Cassie Carstens (The founder) came to Cairo to present the full curriculum of fatherhood and about TWNAF (The World Needs a Father).

Following the success of the movement in Egypt, the team came up with the idea of inviting the fathers and their children to spend 2 nights in a father & child camp. During these camps, the fathers and their kids can enjoy playing and spending quality time together and also listen to the fatherhood sessions. We focus in these camps on all the fathers’ roles according to the TWNAF training to educate them on the positive effect of fatherhood on children. Another very important aspect of these camps is giving the possibility to fathers to apply what they learned right away on their sons and daughters. Bassem and TWNAF team has already trained more than 25000 parents so far.

TWNAF believes that every community faces fatherlessness. It is about training communities of men to understand the value of their roles as fathers, and giving them the tools to train other men around them so that the ripples flow through their community. TWNAF’s vision is that every CHILD grows up with a mature, selfless, available, accountable, and devoted FATHER.
